CO2 lasers are particularly well suited to the cutting of acrylic. The production of neon or illuminated advertisement, signs, displays and the like are important applications. The laser output needed depends on the thickness of the acrylic sheet and the productivity required. The higher the laser output available, the faster the acrylic can be cut.
Generally speaking, high laser outputs are advisable for laser-cut acrylic.
