In order to improve fiscal & logistic management the Department of Defense is requiring that equipment and spare parts be marked with a unique machine readable identification (UID). While all standards and policy implementation have not yet been established, we have determined that Trotec laser systems can mark on many of the materials required and are compatible with the required machine readable codes.
